In this 2 day course you will learn real practical boxing skills, so you can teach 'boxing for fitness', effectively to your individual clients or to your indoor or outdoor groups.
This course is broken into 2 parts. Level 1, delivered on day 1 & Level 2, delivered on day 2.

All group exercise instructors will benefit from learning new ways to train their clients in our 2 day highly interactive boxing course. For more details read on!

Level 1 - Train the Trainer | Day 1

What will I LEARN?
I will learn:

  • Different boxing stances i.e. Orthodox and Southpaw
  • Correct posture and correct positioning of my feet
  • How to correctly form a fist in preperation for punching and correct positioning of my arms
  • How to correctly execute & call the 5 essential punches of boxing
    Jab | Cross | Hook | Uppercut & Rip

  • Defensive Techniques i.e. Ducking & Slipping
  • How to wrap my client's hands
  • How to skip correctly
  • How to use the heavy bag, floor to ceiling and speedball safely and effectively
  • Fun and interactive games that I can incorporate into my client's workout sessions
Level 2 - Train the Instructor | Day 2

What will I LEARN?
I will learn:

  • The benefits of focus pad training
  • How to use the focus pads safely and correctly with my clients
  • How to call and catch single and combination punches
  • To identify and correct poor form and incorrect technique in my clients
  • A variety of focus pad routines that I can use in my clients warm-ups and cool downs
  • How to structure, plan and design my own personalised boxing workout sessions
  • How to progress my boxing workout routines and clients skill & fitness level
  • How to incorporate ducking, slipping, and blocking into my focus pad routines
  • Progressive skill work, utilising the skipping rope, floor to ceiling, speedball and dura discs

Fitness Australia & Kinect Australia have made it an insurance requirement for all fitness professionals to be accredited if they are teach 'boxing for fitness' either in a class environment or for personal training.

Without the proper training & qualifications the chances of injuring a participant increases & your workouts are likely to be less effective.
